I love, love, love Graphic 45’s Secret Garden collection! And I love creating mini albums out of paper bags! Now, who would have thought that this Secret Garden mini album once was the paper bags for the silverware at the Chili’s restaurant? Well, they are. Yep, I grabbed four of the bags off our table one evening when we dined there. I knew in an instant that folded up they’d make an incredible album! It’s really easy to do and I’ve done a Tutorial Video for you that is showcased today on the Graphic 45 blog.

And here’s a plug for a place that I’ve been ordering flowers from–if you like small roses and flowers for your projects in an assortment of colors, then you should go to Etsy and shop at 32 Degrees North by 32 North Supplies. I got these wonderful roses from them and also ordered some little sunflowers that I can’t wait to use on a project!
Don’t forget to go check out the Graphic 45 blog post today for my video tutorial on this paper bag mini!
I do believe that it’s really Springtime here in North Texas. I could be wrong as Easter is not here just yet but the mesquite trees have already put out their leaves and around here, that’s a very good sign! To celebrate the arrival and the staying of Spring, I have made this Mini Spring Canvas using some fabulous Gypsy Soul Laser Cuts chippies! I’m displaying it on my mantel in the living room. If you’d like to make one of your own, you’ll find all the chipboard that I used in the GSL online shop. I have done a blog post featuring this canvas along with a detailed supply list and YouTube video over on the Gypsy Soul Laser Cuts blog. I hope you’ll check it out.
This time for the Cards in Envy card challenge, we are looking for cards that feature Flowers and Fantasy–a combination of flowers with something associated with fantasy like mermaids, unicorns and of course fairies. For my card, I used a bit of Graphic 45 paper from their Secret Garden Deluxe Collector’s Edition. The soft colors and flowers of that line were perfect for my card. I then used a chipboard fairy from Gypsy Soul Laser Cuts for the fantasy part of my card. I’ll list below the supplies that I used for this card and for finishing the fairy.
- Graphic 45 Secret Garden Deluxe Collector’s Edition
- Gypsy Soul Laser Cuts Chipboard Fairy
- Wow! Mint Macaroon Embossing Powder (On the Fairy)
- Clear Emboss It Dauber
- Shimmerz Creameez I’m Not Limon and Purple Rain (On the Fairy)
- Black Tuxedo Memento Ink
- Acrylic Stamp Sentiment from Papertrey Ink “Mixed Messages”
- Button Twine
- Wink of Stella, Clear
Below you can see a bit more clearly the sparkle and shine on the fairy and her wings.
I hope you’ll join us over on Cards in Envy for another fun card challenge.

Good news! I forgot that I did take a few photos of the Treasure Box projects before my camera broke. I was happy to see them on my camera card. Anyway, the one above is the Treasure Box created with the beautiful Graphic 45 Nature Sketchbook. It has an album inside (I did not get photos of that album). But below are photos of the Graphic 45 Cafe Parisian Treasure Box and the album that fits inside it. (The album is made the same way for the Nature Sketchbook Treasure Box.)
Below is the album inside the box, it’s plain on the front because the lid of the box has to be able to close down with the album inside.
Some of the pages inside the album:
These are the last of the photos that I’ll be sharing of my Graphic 45 Workshop Retreat projects. It’s hard to believe that it will soon be here after months of planning and I still have much to get done to be ready. But I can’t wait to see all the wonderful Graphic 45 lovers who have signed up to attend!
