Happy Friday! Boy it’s a windy one today here in North Texas.  That wind whistling outside makes me think of early March. Really. Hasn’t anyone told Mother Nature that it’s May!!!

Speaking of Mother Nature, how about a Nature Sketchbook Treasure Box class?  This post is mainly for those of you who live in North Texas area but if you live anywhere close enough to drive or fly, I’d love to have you at my class on Saturday, May 20th at Flossie Scrapper in Joshua, Texas.  It’s an all day class and starts at 10:30 a.m. so you don’t have to get up too terribly early (unless you are driving from afar).  We will break for lunch so you can go out for a fast food meal or bring your own if you like–there’s a fridge and microwave in the kitchen area off the class room.  Cost is $60 and it includes a pre-cut kit of chipboard and decorative paper. You will need to do a bit of scoring on your own for the construction hinges as this is a big box and needs to be assembled that way.  You will leave class with a finished project! (Unless you decide to add more embellishments.)  You could use it to store extra photos, mementos, letters, cards or a mini album.  For more info and what you need to bring, click >Here< for the Facebook pinned post at Flossie Scrapper Fans (you may have to ask to join) and give the store a call to sign up.  (817-295-7100 ) With the class kit you will get a full color instruction booklet so you can make more on your own–these make great gifts!  I’ve just finished an adorable Mother Goose one from an retired Graphic 45 collection and I must say it is super cute! So think baby gifts, wedding gifts etc.  I’ll try to share a photo of it in a separate post next week.

I hope you each have a wonderful, crafty weekend and a Happy Mother’s Day!

Happy Crafting!!
