Hello! I know it’s been a bit quiet here on the blog. I have been crafting to meet designer deadlines but haven’t had anything yet that I could share on the blog. However, I’m up on the Graphic 45 blog today with this project along with Alexandra. It’s been a fun week on the Graphic 45 blog with sneak peeks of the new Master Detective collection and the return of the beautiful French Country as a Deluxe Collector’s Edition but today they are sharing a couple of projects that you can create out of some of your Graphic 45 stash. We hope they’ll inspire you to create this weekend! Mine is the shaker tag shown above. You may not have noticed that when you take some of the Graphic 45 metal embellishments out of their packaging that the cardboard part is a tag! It even has the grommet! All you have to do it cover it with paper and add pretty embellishments. It’s a fabulous way to recycle. BUT…on some of them, the plastic is also usable and that’s what I did to create the shaker part of this card. Look closely under the flying pig. That area over the little bottles is the plastic part of the packaging and I filled it with pretty sequins. I know there’s a lot of detail to this tag but it was really easy to make with the most time consuming part being the fussy cutting of the images. My tag is created with the Olde Curiosity Shoppe Deluxe Collectors Edition.
I hope you’ll click over to the Graphic 45 blog today and take a closer look at my tag as well as Alexandra’s project. We always have designer tips for you that you may find helpful on your own projects. I hope you have a great weekend!
I love, love, love the Graphic 45 French Country collection! How about you? It’s been retired for a few years and I’ve almost gone through all my stash of it–I only have a few small sheets left and bits and pieces. But good news for French Country paper lovers! Graphic 45 is bringing it back as a Deluxe Collector’s Edition!! It will be in stores later in May so be sure to check out your favorite LSS or online store. This is a mini album that I made with the original collection but I’m thinking it might be time to do a class on this at Flossie Scrapper in Joshua/Burleson, Texas. I’ll work out the details (need to check the album first) and then get with Vicky and see if that’s a class she’d like for me to do in June or July. For more information on classes at Flossie Scrapper, you might want to like her Facebook page and join her fan page.

Next week on the Graphic 45 blog, there will be sneak peeks of the French Country AND the brand new collection, Master Detective! There will be an “I spy” contest so you’ll want to check that out for a chance to win some of these newest products. I can’t wait to see the Master Detective Collection! Below are photos of the collections from Graphic 45:
So exciting!! I hope you each have a fabulous weekend and get to do some fun things including crafting. Which I will be doing this afternoon! Whoo Hoo!!!
Hello! I’m here today to share this tag that I created for Gypsy Soul Laser Cuts and their blog. It’s so much fun to see what you can create with different chipboard sets from their store. This project combined three different chippy sets. Can you guess what the three were? No? I share what I used in a supply list AND a YouTube Tutorial Video over in my post today on the Gypsy Soul Laser Cuts Blog. I hope you’ll go check it out!
There’s just something about pastel colors. So soft, so pretty and so very Spring like. The theme for the card challenge starting this week for Cards in Envy is PRETTY PASTELS. I decided to make a “Thinking of You” card and just use pretty pastel patterns and papers along with pretty ribbon. Here’s the list of supplies I used:
- Color Box 12×12 “Homespun” Papers
- Celebrate Ribbon & Lace
- Lace Border Punch
- Black Tuxedo Memento Ink
- Acrylic Sentiment Stamp from Papertrey Ink, “Vintage Picnic Sayings”
I’m loving making these simple, quick but pretty cards. Do you like to make simple cards? Your card does not have to be simple to be in the Cards in Envy challenge but it does have to be made from Pretty Pastels. I hope you’ll join us!
Good Friday to each of you! Today I am featured on the Graphic 45 blog with my Easter Basket project. It was so quick and easy to make and if you are needing a Easter basket or decor piece this might work for you. You just make a square box base out of cardstock, decortate the sides with Graphic 45 papers and fill the inside with Easter grass, pretty fussy cut outs from one of the collections, chocolate bunnies, lovely flowers and eggs. And don’t forget to had a paper/ribbon handle.
A supply list of what I used and a tip on how to make a basket are in the Graphic blog post today. I hope you’ll check it out and leave a comment here and there to let me know you stopped by. Happy Easter and blessings to you and yours.
