Hello! Thanks so much for stopping by! I’m sharing this coffre au trésor (that’s French for treasure chest or box) that I created.  I’m up on the Gypsy Soul Laser Cuts blog today with a tutorial on how to finish/prep the chipboard pieces that I used in the scene that I placed on the lid of my box.  The Gypsy Soul Laser Cuts chippies are fabulous for adding in with your fussy cut papers to add dimension to your project.  Here I’ve used their cafe table & chairs with the fancy lamp post and filigree frame.  If you haven’t worked much with chipboard pieces, you should give it try.  It’s so easy and every day on the GSL blog there is a new post with a new craft idea or technique on the chipboard sets you can buy at their online store.

I created my treasure box out of some chipboard using gaffer’s tape and patterned it with the most beautiful Graphic 45 Cafe Parisian 12×12 paper collection.  I added a Tim Holtz glass knob to the flap that opens up.  I plan on creating a matching mini album to put inside my coffre au trésor.

You will find my tutorial and more photos of this box on the Gypsy Soul Laser Cuts blog today.  I hope you stop by and leave me some comment love here and over at GSL.

Happy Crafting!

Hello! Christmas is over for the most part and the New Year is approaching!  This year I made a “Year in Review Album” using Graphic 45’s 8×8 Mixed Media album and one of their newest collections–Nature Sketchbook.  Oh my! This is such beautiful paper!

This album is featured today on their blog at www.http://g45papers.typepad.com along with lots more photos!  I hope you go over and check it out and leave a comment or two here and on the G45 blog post.

If you haven’t had a chance to see this Nature Sketchbook collection in person, you really should go take a look or just order it if you don’t have a scrapbook store nearby.  I can think of so many wonderful projects and possibilities for this collection!

That’s all I’m going to show you.  I’ll share that it is a box.  And that it features several Gypsy Soul Laser Cuts chipboard sets and the Graphic 45 Cafe Parisian 12 x 12 collection.  It will be on my blog December 29th but more importantly, it will be on the Gypsy Soul Laser Cuts blog on that same day (bright and early in the morning) along with a tutorial on how to dress up those chippies to add them into your fussy cut scene.

I will say that I’m in love with how this turned out!

Back to Christmas prepping….

Happy Crafting!

I’m  excited to share this afternoon a sneak peek of a project I designed for Graphic 45 using their most beautiful paper collection–Nature Sketchbook!

I know you are super busy with the holidays but I think you might want to mark your calendar to check back on Monday December 26th either here on my blog or on the Graphic 45 blog to see more!  There will be a Tutorial Video and and Showcase Video on this and lots more photos!

Okay, that is all.  I won’t keep you long with lots of words but did want to let you know this project will be coming soon!

Happy Crafting!

Well the countdown has really begun!  If you haven’t mailed out your Christmas cards, I think you (and I) should get that done tomorrow or maybe just give them with a gift.  We have a new card challenge starting today on the Cards in Envy challenge and the theme is “Celebrate the Season.” Which means, you can make any card for the challenge for however you celebrate this holiday season–Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, New Year’s etc.  Just remember your card must be flat enough to go in an envelope for mailing though it can be any shape or any size.

I used ALL stash items for this card so I can’t tell you the specific products used.  I used white cardstock for the base and the snow banks, pink cardstock for the layer background, snowflake chipboard stickers that came with that cute snowman (I think I’ve had these for several years and they may have been purchased in the gift wrap section of a store) and an acrylic Christmas stamp from Papertrey Ink.  It was really quick and easy to put together.  The snow banks are cut out with a die and my Big Shot.  Just layer it all up and you are done!

Not sure if I’ll be doing much blogging this week or not.  But I will be back on the 26th with a fun album project for Graphic 45 using their 8×8 Mixed Media album AND their new Nature Sketchbook paper collection.  I will also have a post on the 29th for Gypsy Soul Laser Cuts and you won’t want to miss that one! It will feature Graphic 45’s Cafe Parisian paper collection and some wonderful chipboard elements from Gypsy Soul Laser Cuts.

Just in case I don’t post again this week, I want to wish each of you a wonderful holiday season and Merry Christmas from me to you if you celebrate.  If not, have a wonderful time celebrating however you choose to celebrate!  Oh! If you missed it, I did have a post yesterday for the Last Minute Gift Idea Blog Hop! There are some really great ideas from other designers if you click on their name in the blog hop list PLUS you can win a $100 Visa Gift Card by leaving a comment on yesterday’s post AND signing up on the Rafflecopter widget.
