Happy-Halloween-Close-Up

It’s HERE!!!  Halloween!!  I hope you have plans for a frightfully fun day and evening if you celebrate, but please stay safe!

It’s been a super fun Thirteen Frights (Days) Before Halloween!  I got my Halloween project finished and hopefully you’ve enjoyed watching me create it and have or plan on making one of your own!

Below is the finished Book Box that holds the mini album.  I love how it turned out using the Carta Bella Trick or Treat Designer paper collection, Simple Stories Frankie & Friends ephemera pack and other goodies from my stash.

Here’s the chunky little mini Halloween album that fits inside the book box.  (It’s showcased on top of the book box.)

And a shot  of my favorite page in the album.  I created these Jack-o-lantern ghosts out of plastic shopping bags!

Finished!  I did it! We did it!  Thirteen fabulous fun days before Halloween to create a cute Halloween Mini Album and storage Book Box!  This project was made with black chipboard, black cardstock and two packages of 12×12 Carta Bella Trick or Treat paper collection which included a sticker sheet plus various ribbons, Tim Holtz charms, Simple Stories Frankie & Friends Ephemera pack and misc. foam/glitter embellishments from Recollections/Michael’s.  All of the videos for this project will be available on YouTube in my channel for you to watch and create a project of your own at any time. I plan on re-creating the book box with a quick video to show how I create it (and leave out the part where I made a mistake!)  You can subscribe to my YouTube channel so you’ll always know when I upload something new and/or subscribe to my blog by email.  Both options may be accessed in the sidebar on the right.

And now….the final video for this year’s Thirteen Frights Before Halloween….

The book box is assembled and in today’s video, I pattern it on the outside. I also patterned it on the inside but the video camera stopped and didn’t capture that part but it’s super easy.  Just grab your ruler and measure the inside of the lid, the inside bottom of the box and the four inside side sections. Cut your paper and use tape runner or ATG gun tape to attach them inside.  Tomorrow will be the final segment of my Thirteen Frights Before Halloween.  We’ll decorate the front of the book box and will have a finished Halloween project to give to someone or to use as a Halloween decoration and a place to put photos of our favorite trick or treaters or Halloween decor and festivities.

There they are.  In the photo above. All the bits and pieces you need to create a book box to store your mini album in.  I had to add a little height to my book box so my chunky little album would fit! Ha, ha.

It’s day 11 now of my Thirteen Frights Before Halloween! I’m thrilled that we got the mini album done and all decorated too!  That gives us three days to assemble the book box, pattern it and decorate the front cover of it.  Today is all about the assembly of course and the video was so long that I split it up into two parts:  Video A and Video B.  You will need black chipboard and black cardstock for this plus 3/8″ and 1/2″ scor-tape and white glue.

If the videos do not open here in my blog post, click on this link >Sandy’s YouTube Channel and you’ll be able to watch it on YouTube.  Also, if you are reading my post via email-subscription, you will have to go to my YouTube channel to view the video.

Thirteen Frights Before Halloween Day 10 Mini Album 2015.mp4_20151026_114950.895

Yep, the mini Halloween Album is done as of today!  Which means that tomorrow, we’ll start assembling the “book” box to store the mini album in and we have just three days left for the Thirteen Frights Before Halloween.  I think we can get it done! But I am worrying that I may not have enough paper left from the Carta Bella Trick or Treat collection.  Guess I’ll have to rummage around in my Halloween paper stash and find some that will work as I don’t have time to drive over to the scrapbook store (Flossie Scrapper)  in Joshua to buy more of the Trick or Treat collection.   In the above photo is the finished front cover of the album; however, after I uploaded the video, I did do a few extra things like adding 3D lacquer and glittery stuff (Wink of Stella brush pen).  Oh, and I added a star to the witch hat.  I’ll show you tomorrow in the video before I start assembling the “book” box.
