I love making birthday cards and I especially love this little digital stamp I acquired last year. I’ve used it many times. In fact, I’ve colored several with my Copic pens and just keep them in a photo box to use whenever I need something cute for a birthday card and nothing’s cuter (to me)than a mouse all dressed up in her party frock carrying a big yummy cupcake! I created this card using a scrumptious paper I bought at the scrapbook store on Saturday (sorry I can’t remember the manufacturer and all that as I cut up my paper into A2 sizes and file them into a photo divider thing–so I don’t keep track of those details just yet). It was a two sided paper so I had the stripe on the back to use and then added a scrap of paper lace I had lying around and then stamped the “Happy Birthday” sentiment and created the banner–the edges are inked with pink. A quick and simple card to make but so fun to send and hopefully to receive!
Happy Wednesday to you! It’s getting closer to the weekend! Yay!!!
I’m a scrapbooker, creator of assorted crafts when I have the time, a photographer and now a card maker. Specifically for Operation Write Home. I’m a newbie. A newbie for Operation Write Home. I’ve dabbled in card making before. I’ve sent out a few but mostly hoarded the rest in my special card box. When I discovered Operation Write Home I was excited to know that I could create cards AND actually have a purpose for all of them. Over the past two weekends I have made over 60 cards which I will take to my local scrapbook store, Cat’s Creations and Scrapbooking in Mineral Wells, Texas. She’s hosting a “card class” the first Thursday in September in which we either bring 20 cards or make 20 cards for Operation Write Home. I’m excited that I already have my cards ready and figured that before I send them on their way that I should take photos and share them someplace. And so I started this blog. If you’ve stumbled upon this blog, thanks for stopping by and I hope you’ll come visit again and welcome to Sandy’s Crafty Creations!
